Mark Sanchez came back sharp in Thursday’s OTA’s, going 8-for-12 in team drills. Sanchez was strictly with the starters. Last OTA practice, he shared reps with Geno Smith. As far as Smith goes, he had a good practice as well, going 8-for-9. His lone incompletion was a dropped pass.
So it’s good news from Jets OTA practices. It’s safe to say we have made progress in this starter quarterback race with 98 days till we kickoff the season.
Mike Goodson was at practice and was working with the team. Goodson was performing well, displaying his quick footing and repeatedly beating defenders to the sidelines.
The Jets signed former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, Ben Obomanu. Obomanu holds a current NFL career of six years. He played in 66 games and has 87 catches for 1,209 yards. General Manager John Idzik knows him from working in Seattle, and the move will add depth to the Jets wide receiver corp.
