The trade rumors continue to swirl around Iman Shumpert.The sources are starting to strengthen and Shumpert days as Knicks are numbered.
Shumpert is a great defense player with a high ceiling.He wears that Knicks colors with pride and the first person to yell “Knickstape”.Shumpert is a true blue color player and his energy has spark to team to many wins.

New York Post Marc Berman reports Shumpert had surgery was actually sometime in mid-to-late August and was so minor he didn’t need crutches.Timing of Shumpert’s knee surgery after summer-league snafu prevented him from doing part of the offseason workout program with coaches.
Espn Ian Begley reports ne league source with knowledge of the team’s thinking said that some in the Knicks’ organization were upset by the timing of Shumpert’s surgery because they felt he could have had it earlier in the summer.Knicks coach Mike Woodson said in October that Shumpert came into training camp a bit out of shape and suffered pain in his knee in the offseason.

Espn Chris Broussard reports Knicks looking to upgrade at point guard, have eye on Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.Broussard sources say no interest on Celtics’ part. Right now, Celtics have every intention of keeping Rondo & seeing if they can build around him.While the Celtics not moving Rondo, they would take back Amare Stoudemire in deal n which they could unload longer deals of Gerald Wallace and or Courtney Lee.
This fits in an issue the Knicks been trying to move Stoudemire several times over the past year. Its been hard teams are hesitant to take on his contract and history of knee issues. Stoudemire is currently playing on restrictions minutes limit to protect his oft-injured knees. Stoudemire had three surgeries on his knee in a 10-month span and his contract is uninsured due to a long history of knee ailments.
Knicks Trade Talks with Celtics
The Knicks offering Iman Shumpert in trade talks,and would send him and Amare Stoudemire to Boston in an effort to obtain point guard Rajon Rondo,per Espn Ian Begley. The Celtics are interested in the deal, as far as preferring to unload forward Gerald Wallace in a trade talks.
The Knicks may be reluctant to take Wallace back because they’re hesitant to take on salary beyond the 2014-15 season.Taking on Wallace is unproductive for a team looking forward free up cap space.
The Knicks have three large contracts Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and Andera Bargnani coming off their books at the end the 2014-15 season and would like to be in position to acquire a top-flight free agent.
A trade including Wallace and Stoudemire would seem to benefit the Celtics financially. Boston is in rebuilding mode, and Stoudemire’s contract expires a year before Wallace’s.
Rondo currently remains sidelined while recovering from February ACL surgery.
