Mr. Saturday Night Football Special

Mississippi State @ Alabama

Dan Mullen and Dak Prescott ride into Tuscaloosa like a couple of wanted fugitives this weekend and you can bet they will be hunted from start to finish. I have to give Mississippi State props, they have been the best team in football so far. That being said, they now have that huge #1 bullseye on their back. Blake Sims has done well “ playing the role “ in Nick Saban’s offense and the defense if stout as usual. This is going to be a slower grind it out kind of game, which will be in favor of Alabama. I think Alabama will keep the Bullies off balance and will get the win. 31-27.

Nebraska @ Wisconsin

Camp Randall will be off the chain when Bo Pelini comes to town this weekend. I look for tons of power running right up the gut in this game. Just going to be a downright old school football game. These two teams feature great running backs Melvin gordon and Ameer Abdullah. Not real sure about this one. Gimmie Melvin Gordon and the Badgers at home. 28-24.

Auburn @ Georgia

Considered to be “ The oldest rivalry in the South “ this game I assure you will not disappoint. Todd Gurly is back in the saddle for the Dawgs. Both defenses have been subpar this year and you can bet that there will be loads of scoring in this game. Nick Marshall and the Tigers must put last week behind them to win this game. I think Gus Malzahn will be the better coach and will pull it off 44-38 but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Clemson @ Georgia Tech

DeShaun Watson is back and ready to play Georgia Tech in a classic ACC rivalry game. Both teams have had their moments this year. If you can’t handle the obvious “ We’re going to run the ball right at you until you can stop it “ type of game then you won’t be able to handle Georgia Tech. That said, I do think the Clemson defense is good enough to make enough stops to win. Watson will be rusty at first and Georgia Tech may even be leading at the half. In the end Clemson wins 37-31.

Florida State @ Miami

Well, this is a really big game here for both squads. National Title hopes for Florida State and a chance to get some much needed publicity for the Hurricanes and start to build on the young team they have to get them back into the national spotlight. Got a feeling that the Noles will stack the box to stop the Miami running game. This will give easier passes to the true freshmen Brad Kaaya. There are soft spots in the Seminoles secondary. That said there are some questionable spots on the defense for Miami too and that could be bad if Jameis Winston can find them. The Canes have been much better on defense lately and it seems that something has clicked for them. Its been easy rollin for Duke Johnson in the last several games. This will be a game, Florida State is still on top but have had shaky times. Miami started off shaky but is playing much better overall. Look for a great game. Make your own pick.
