Overview: Mcgregory Frederique is a speedster type wide receiver who also has the ability to contribute on special teams. He is currently a free agent who is looking for an opportunity to continue his journey as a professional football player. During this interview, he shared his experience playing in the Globe Bowl.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Mcgregory, during which time he told me more about his background, his personality and his overall love for football.
C: When did you first fall in love with playing football?
MF: I first fell in love with football at young age, well playing street football with my friends, I love the sport and wanted to purse a career, but never had the right person on my corner to lead me to the right path, so now I’m here trying my best to get a shot on the professional level, because I know for a fact, I can play on the highest level, I just want an opportunity.
C: What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
MF: My speed, my knowledge, understanding the playbook, and just learning more about the game of football.
C: What separates you from the other players at your position?
MF: My playing abilities separates me from players at my position, I’m to quick for anybody to guard me. They can try, but most have failed.
C: What has been your biggest accomplishment during your football career?
MF: Playing in the Globe Bowl 2016 game this past January, I never thought in a million years I would be playing with former NFL players, college players from all over, I’m so grateful and thankful for that opportunity from the organization, because someone seen something in me other people didn’t, they even invited me back for the second game. So far so good.
C: Which current or former NFL player do you think you resemble and why?
MF: I would have to go with Antonio Brown, we weight the same and we’re the same height, so you know that’s trouble on the field, and the reason why my speed speaks for it self, you can’t teach speed.
C: What can you bring to a professional football team?
MF: I can bring so much talent to a professional team, leadership, professionalism, courage, commitment, honesty, play marker, special teams.
C: Would you consider yourself more of a speedster type wide receiver or a possession type wide receiver?
MF: I consider myself a speedster wide receiver.
C: How do you prepare for game day? Do you have any game day rituals?
MF: I prepare myself by listening and watching motivation football videos, to give me that edge and strength I need to have a solid mind, to focus on the game I love, and some music to get me pump and hype before kickoff.
C: What is the most inspirational or powerful thing a coach has ever said to you in your football career?
MF: The inspirational a coach have told me, stop giving other people credit for your success, and start giving yourself credit for it, your success will create so many opportunity for you, so you can create other opportunities for others. Never stop chasing your dream.
C: What should people reading this interview know about you?
MF: When people read this football interview, they should know I’m a go getter, I don’t stop until I reach my goals and dream, no matter what comes my way. I want them to know if you want anything in life you purse it until you get it, nothing will be handed to you, nothing is free in this world, you have to work for it, dream chasers are only for those who want their dreams to come true. You need to ask yourself every single how bad do you want it to happen, how bad do you want it, how bad do you want it to become a reality, and the decisions all comes down to you. Chase your dreams people.
